Overview
Many of the catalog links on the NXT website are direct links to Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be used to view and print these files. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, click on the "Get Acrobat Reader" symbol at the right.

Downloading PDF Files from the Web Site (Recommended)
PDF files will run faster if they are first downloaded off the web site to your computer's hard drive first and then run off the hard drive using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The following steps detail how to download and run a PDF file off the web site:
- Place the cursor over the PDF file link provided on the web page.
- Right-click your mouse.
- Select "Save Target As..." from this menu.
- You will see a "Downloading" window. After this window has finished, a "Save As" window will appear. Indicate the folder and file name of the PDF file you want to save.
- After the save is complete, double-click on the PDF file to view the PDF file in Acrobat Reader (assuming it is installed on your computer) - OR - run Acrobat Reader and "Open" the PDF file from the File menu.
This method is recommended since most of the PDF files on the web site are large files.

Running PDF Files Directly from the Web Site
PDF files can be viewed directly from your web browser if your browser is either Internet Explorer 3.0 (or higher) or Netscape Navigator 3.0 (or higher).
To view the PDF file, simply click on the link provided on the Web page. Many factors will affect the speed with which you can view and navigate through the document, such as: 1) the browser you are using; 2) the speed of your Internet connection; 3) whether or not the PDF file is optimized; 4) whether or not the server supports byte-serving (if not, the entire PDF file is downloaded before appearing in the window).
This method of viewing PDF files will be slower than the previous method.
